Wildtracks owns and manages two terrestrial protected areas - Fireburn and Balam Na - and provides support and assistance for the management of Corozal Bay Wildlife Sanctuary.
All three reserves are located in Corozal District in north-east Belize, and form part of the proposed North East Biological Corridor - an important component of the Mesoamerican Biological Corridor System. Fireburn and Balam Na Reserves are classed as Proposed Private Protected Areas, while Corozal Bay Wildlife Sanctuary is a national protected area.
These reserves are the focus of many of our activities, from hands-on conservation through education activities to large-scale research projects.
For more information on any of the three reserves, please explore the links available on the left of this page.
